Ever wonder how to find a easy weight loss method, with out putting too much effort in weight loss. I recently talked face to face with a traditional ayurvedic doctor / practitioner about weight loss who’s living in Sri Lanka (close to India).
He revealed an amazing fact about weight loss and amazing weight loss secret and some other very useful health tips in addition to weight loss.

Here is what he actually said about weight loss,

First he said is if you want to good weight loss results you must change the dinner taking time that is normally at night but he said you should take diner at evening or other words at about 5p.m. for optimal weight loss and to achive weight loss goals, the main reason for this is, as he said, if you take dinner at night you may deposit unwanted extra calories in to your body fat in addition to weight loss because you will go to bed after dinner and you are allowing less time to consume that extra calories also making weight loss a dream. So if you take dinner early as possible that is after 5p.m. you would allow more time to consume your calories rather than deposit it, thus increases weight loss faster. You should also consume a high fiber, low calorie diet at around 5p.m. to see good weight loss results.
visit following web site for more information on this.

This is also being practice by Buddhist monks for their good health not for weight loss as they normally do not involve in any exercises.

You can use above method with your current weight loss plan also while it helps to achive weight loss goals faster.

You should also drink water instead of eating between meals for optimal weight loss and avoid junk foods like fast foods as much as possible and eat fiber rich foods and fruits instead of carbohydrates rich foods. You should focus on recipes that are categorized as weight loss recipes for optimal weight loss also.

In addition to above weight loss method you should wake up in the morning and drink approximately 1 lire(1L) bottle of water and wait 45 minutes. Then take your breakfast. You should first start with low volume of water and gradually increase it to amount that you can cope with. First few days you’ll want to go to toilet more often but later on you’ll use it. This is good ayurvedic practice. this is nothing to do with weight loss or weight loss goals but You’ll see a more clear, refreshed, good skin tone and this also helps me to reduce my acne with out any medication in addition to weight loss.

If you follow this all above you’ll achieve weight loss faster and weight loss goals while your skin look beautiful and you’ll benefit from living a longer life time.

So good luck to you and start today and see the weight loss results and achive weight loss goals today.

Do you ever wonder why some people have been able to lose a lot of weight and keep it off, while you’ve tried every diet with no success?

Simple, you haven’t changed your eating habits.

What most diets have you do is simply cut down on what you eat, controlling portion sizes to keep calories in check.

After losing weight you gradually go back to your old eating habits and the weight you lost gradually ends up being regained.

Then you try another diet, thinking the last one didn’t work, with this cycle going on for years.

The basis for most diets is to consume less calories and get more exercise. Seems simple, right?

The problem is that most foods are very high in calories, so to eat the right amount for the diet you end up eating tiny portions and feeling hungry all the time.

And any diet that leaves you feeling hungry is bound to fail.

There is no way to lose weight, and keep it off, unless you radically change what you eat.

By radical, I mean by doing something as extreme as becoming vegetarian or vegan, fundamentally changing how you eat.

A vegetarian is simply somebody who doesn’t eat meat, while a vegan is simply a vegetarian who doesn’t eat animal products such as dairy and eggs. Nothing more, nothing less.

The hardest part of this switch is trying to learn what foods you can eat. Switching to being vegetarian makes this easy, simply leave out meat. Everything else is fair game.

For many people this simple step, not eating meat, is the hardest. After all, we’ve been raised to believe that meat is a staple of our diet.

Will you miss eating meat? Possibly. But chances are when you start seeing positive results in weight loss you will like that more.

If you can make this giant leap, then everything else will come easy.

This whole weight loss process is a confusing situation. Is it possible that exercise can be bad for weight loss? The answer is no, exercise cannot be bad for weight loss, but that is not the whole story.

Exercising is generally a series of exercise choices that we make. All exercises burn calories for energy and help with weight loss, but not all exercises burn that same amount of calories or impact the endocrine system in the same way. The logic is pretty simple here, big muscles burn lots of calories and small muscles burn fewer calories. So what we are focused on here is improving your choices.

Here are the little muscles that don’t burn very many calories. These muscles/exercises are like the frosting on a cake. If you don’t exercise the big muscles first then it is like skipping the cake and putting frosting on the plate.

* Biceps

* Triceps

* Deltoids

* Traps

* Calves

Here are the muscles that burn a fair amount of calories. Not a bad choice to incorporate these exercises, but not the BEST.

* Pecs

* Lats

* Glutes

* Abs

* Back Extensors

And here are the calorie kings/queens! These muscles are the cake folks. Get these into every exercise

* Quads

* Hamstrings

Obviously, if you have ample time then it is a great strategy to hit all of your muscle groups and get into some isolation. Since that is not always possible now you have a strategy to help you make the best choices for the time that you have available. So when you are choosing which exercises to do there are some keys to getting the most out of your workout. Here you go.

1. Know your schedule. If you only have 20 minutes, for example, know how many exercises that you can do within the allotted time frame.

2. Always hit your big muscles. Try to get your legs involved in every exercise possible. The more calories that you burn the easier weight loss happens.

3. Try to balance. The more stability required for each exercise the more muscles that will have to be involved to complete the movement. For example, if you are going to do curls then do them standing on 1 foot!

4. Cut the fat. If you are on a time crunch then ignore the small muscles and focus on the big ones. You will do much more for your arms by doing lots of leg incorporation than all of the curls in the world.

5. Multi-joint exercises. Instead of a chest press machine try a push-up. This ties right back into #4. More big muscles involved means more calories burned.

6. Get going. If you aren’t doing this TODAY then change your schedule and get to it. If you don’t know what to do then get some help. Don’t let ignorance be an excuse EVER!

Self hypnosis for weight loss reviews; the fundamentals of how YOU can learn to control and alter your mind in order to better manage your weight. Ultimately you are looking to lose weight, change your bad eating habits, and gain more motivation to get off the couch and move! These elements are required with any weight loss program, but you’re probably reading this because you want to know if self hypnosis can make losing weight easy and fast, right?

Well, first off let’s take a closer look at what this kind of program would include. To begin, you’ll need to know that the “science” behind it is that YOU have the power and self control to change the way you think and act. It’s about altering your subconscious and self-control…

Impulsive behaviors become controlled and you re-train the way you think about food, diet, and exercise.

Typically you would receive audio recordings created by a professional hypnotist. There are a lot of different products out there but most recommend and provide you with the same sort of thing. For example, you would download an mp3 or order a CD package, and with these you can create a routine in the comfort of your own home for listening at night or in the morning when you first wake up. These sessions are private and you can control the length of your self hypnosis.

Sounds fairly simple and straightforward, right? But is self hypnosis for weight loss the so-called “magic cure”?

It’d certainly be nice if it helps to get you going in the right direction. I don’t personally see how it could harm you. I mean, it certainly is a much safer alternative to diet pills, and seems to have a better success rate than the zillions of fads and gimmicks that prey on dieters’ weakness. It’s hard to know unless you give it a go.

I’ve found that self-hypnosis for weight loss reviews are readily found online. Just like most weight loss programs you are probably wondering what to choose and what will finally work to get you out of the ‘yo-yo’ dieting cycle.

I’d sure like to say that yes there is an element of magic when it comes to losing weight but all the evidence continues to show that losing weight requires more than just alerting the way we think. You also MUST have easy access to proper meal planning, exercise regimes, education, and what I believe is the key… SUPPORT! A diet program that has ALL of the tools and resources to allow you to be successful for the long-term is what’s going to ultimately get you the best results.

Are you one of the many who may be tempted by advertisements for diet pills and other weight loss products promising easy, quick ways to lose weight? Were you aware that a simple 30 minute infomercial can cost anywhere from $80,000 to 120,000 dollars to make. Pretty crazy don’t you think? Yet time and time again you see countless weight loss infomercials selling product after product.

Fad Diets and many diet pills are pitched by persistent advertising and many people, possibly even you will join the parade of followers. Yet 95% of the time, these weight loss products will prove to fail you once again — leaving you with nothing but charges to your credit card and set-up to regain all those pounds. So why are people constantly and willingly paying their hard earned money for these weight loss products?

“Stop Throwing Your Hopes Into Every Weight Loss Product That Comes By”

We want you to stop being their guinea pigs and understand and realize just how many of these diet pills and other weight loss companies are cashing in at your expense. To help you avoid getting “trapped or suckered” into believing or choosing a weight loss product or service that does nothing but contribute and add to the problems.

Stop Getting Taken! The following factors are exactly what many weight loss products and services use and exploit in order to get you to buy into their utterly false claims…

Factor 1 — HOPE
Hope is a good thing, you need hope. But the problem is that many times you have such high hopes that you put those hopes into anything, regardless if its legit or not. By putting your hopes of weight loss into products and services that are not providing the necessary means you need, your ultimately setting yourself up for failure and your hopes will get crushed. Have hope, just make sure you put your hope into the right service and don’t let your strong sense of hope blind you into not seeing the red-flags and other lies.

Bottom Line — Don’t let your strong sense of hope make you believe things that are not true!

Factor 2 — Emotion
Lets face it, your weight and appearance can be a touchy, emotional subject. And it should be, its your life! But how many times have you seen a weight loss infomercial where someone breaks down into tears while talking about how miserable they were when overweight and how deeply happy and relieved they are now … and how they owe it all to that particular weight loss product or “revolutionary system.” The product is doing this intentionally!

Weight loss products know you’re emotional about how you look … they also know that when your emotional, it causes you to act on impulse. They have a better chance to “hook- you” when you’re emotional and “touched.” Products try to stir up your emotion in an effort to get you to act impulsively and buy into their claims. You should be emotional about your health and the way you look, but don’t let them use your emotion against you. Don’t let your emotion blind you into not seeing the red-flags and real reason that they’re really there — to get the “2 easy payments of $39.99″ out of you!

Factor 3 — Marketing Savvy & Media
Just because you’re constantly seeing weight loss ads and commercials for diet pills and the new “xxx diet” does not mean it works and is credible. Just because you see a celebrity hosting the weight loss infomercial or program (who has been generously paid off … do you really think a movie star is going to do an infomercial for free?) does not mean it’s effective. What it does mean is that they have thousands, if not millions of dollars to pay for advertising and marketing so they can get their product in front of you, be it radio, television, internet etc. so they can constantly “pitch you.”

How affective is marketing? Recently, a diet pill company was making the bogus claim “take our weight loss pill and you can eat what you want and burn fat as you sleep” and made $152 million in profit over 3 short years by doing radio commercials at over 600 stations across the country! That is until the Government stepped in and cracked down! And all the restaurants that are adding the “new xxx diet approved” menus, all they’re doing is trying to make money too! Restaurants know that people are willingly paying, so why wouldn’t they add low carb diet dishes (even though the number of calories in these dishes are alarmingly high and will cause you to pack on pounds!)

Realize, that just because you see a weight loss product time and time again on the television or radio does not mean it will be effective in losing permanent weight. All these weight loss companies are trying to do is get their product in front of you over and over so it will be there when you’re ready to buy. Many people make the mistake of assuming a product is credible simply because it’s constantly on television.

Factor 4 – Repetition
Diet pills and other weight loss products figure they more they can get in front of you, the more likely you’re going to buy it when that time comes. Lets face it, if you were interested in building a deck, when that time comes don’t you think your going to choose the “smith deck company” that you saw time and time again on TV. Most people will simply use the one that’s most convenient and right there. Many times people just pick the first product or service that comes to their head and have high hopes that everything will just work out. Unfortunately, many times it’s no different with weight loss products.

This is exactly why you see the same infomercial every day, every hour of the day for like 1 month straight … and then all of a sudden it’s gone. They get in, make their money on desperate people looking to lose weight, and then they get out! And if you see it again in like 3-4 months down the road, this means they made a lot of money on it previously and are back to make more. They wouldn’t be there if they weren’t making money – period!

The product is trying to pound it into you head and keep coming at you because they know, the more you see it, the more likely you will be to buy it. Don’t get suckered! Just because they are always there, does not mean it will help you.

Factor 5 – Pressure
This is a big one. The bottom line — when people are pressured they act impulsively. Often times you put way to much pressure on yourself. In today’s society so much emphasis is placed on health and appearance. People feel pressured to look a certain way and this is certainly the case with being overweight as people will do anything to lose weight. Weight loss products go out of their way to put additional pressure on you, knowing that it will cause you to act and buy. Many of the weight loss infomercials are very good at the art of getting you to believe that … “finally this is it, the only product that’s going to change your life!” The truth is that all they’re doing is adding additional pressure.

Bottom Line — Don’t let the pressure you feel to lose weight allow you to buy into and believe false claims. A sense of urgency to lose weight is good, but don’t feel so pressured that it causes you to act impulsively and spend your hard – earned money on the first thing you come across that sounds good. When you feel pressured, it will allow you to start believing and putting your hopes into things that are not true because you feel like “I need to do something about my weight and I need to do it now!” Weight loss products know this and that is what they are wanting you to do. Don’t allow it and don’t allow yourself to be one of their guinea pigs! It will just cost you in the end!

General Rules To Keep In Mind When
Dealing With Weight Loss Products

Be Realistic — If there was a way to “lose 30 pounds in 30 days and keep it off” or “eat what you want and still lose weight” don’t you think that we would all look like supermodels?

Use Common Sense — If there were magic diet pills or easy way to lose weight and keep it off, don’t you think the top movie stars and celebrities who make millions and millions of dollars would have it.

Allow Yourself To Believe Both Sides — If you’re going to make the mistake of believing the lies and fabrications many weight loss products are telling you, at least allow yourself to believe that they may indeed be “lying and deceiving you” as well. It’s only fair that you allow yourself to look at both sides as this will help you to form a better judgment.

“If It Was That Easy…” Lets face it, if it was as easy as all these health and weight loss infomercials and ab contraptions make it, the statistic of 95% failing would not exist! There would be no problems. Don’t believe their lies and fabrications

You know you have weighted, err, waited more than enough. So you decide to get yourself started on some weight loss programs and regimens. In all likelihood you would draft yourself with the ones that promise you sure-hit quick weight loss tips.

So you sweat and strain with your chosen weight loss program, perhaps ecstatically so at the start. Sure your body gets all aching with all your joints and knuckles cracking in epic proportions like ungreased door hinges of horror movies.

Looking at yourself in the mirror, you cringe at the sight of this blob staring back miserably at you still with the extra flabs flapping around somewhere there. You sigh in exasperation. Whatever happened to the weight loss program that promised to sculpt your body to whistle-bait shape? You scream in desperation. You know you have just been weigh-layed, err again, way-laid by some pseudo weight loss masters.

Truth is, we tend to pattern our weight loss mindset after the mentality of that of some backyard gym instructors. We torture ourselves with the age-old dictum “No pain, no gain.” Let’s face it, while it did miracles for Rocky, it sure did get him crippled (or, killed) in the final picture.

We are no Rocky. We are ordinary human beings with not-so-ordinary day-to-day affairs. Some are multi-tasked like the housewife who has to master doing diapers in one hand, pitching copies in the other, while applying tantric massage on her hubby with her feet. All throughout she is troubled between going for weight loss surgery and taking weight loss pills.

“No pain, no gain” is foolishly macho and downright false. Of course, there’s bound to be some discomfort when you’re just getting started with your own weight loss program, and later when you start to reach out for new weight loss goals.

But there’s an important difference between discomfort and pain. Learn it. Listen to your body say, “Moderation in all things.” Pain means injury. Pain makes you quit the weight loss program.

If you don’t like your chosen program of weight loss exercises, you won’t stick with it. It will become a chore, you’ll slack off and finally give up the entire weight loss program. Tailor your weight loss exercise to yourself, not to what others do or to some false image generated from within or without. Of course when you’re just getting started, weight loss may seem like a chore. But appearances are not always reality. Realize that your body and mind would always prefer being a couch potato, and will rebel at the thought of exertion in the weight loss program, so you’ve got to give any form of exercise a chance to grow on you before you start analyzing whether it’s for you or not! The key is to turn weight loss exercise into play, then you’ll succeed and persist. Lack of joy makes you quit.

So spice up your own program of weight loss exercises by customizing it according to your our own weight loss needs. Variety is still the spice of weight loss. You should’nt be satisfied just with pounding the pavement or sweating in a gym. Variety makes you learn how much you’re capable of. Play around, pick and choose, experiment with your own customized personal weight loss program.

Whatever weight loss exercises you choose from the following, try to get your heart rate up to about 70 percent of your safe maximum. You can do that by using this formula: 220 minus your age equals your Maximum Safe Heart Rate. Keep it at this rate for a solid half-hour. Don’t go over the 85 percent rate for more than a couple of minutes at a time. Of course, heart rate doesn’t figure into strength builders such as weigh lifting.

Note : The calories-burned figures that follow are for a 110-pounder. A 154-pounder should add on another 28 percent to that number, while a 198-pounder should add 55 percent.

Walking : Calories burned at 2 mph is 145 per hour; 3 mph is 235 per hour; at 5 mph is 435 per hour.

Jogging : Calories burned at 5mph is 530 per hour which is roughly about a 12-minute mile.

Jumping Rope : Calories burned is 600 calories per hour.

Swimming : At 30 yards per minute (about one lap of an Olympic-size pool), calories burned is 330 per hour.

Water-walking : Calories burned is 360 per hour in a fast game.

Bicycling : Calories burned at 10 mph is 390 per hour.

Aerobic Dancing : For low impact, calories burned is 240 per hour and for moderate impact, 350 per hour.

Square Dancing : Calories burned is 350 and up – way up! – per hour.

Table Tennis : Calories burned is 450 hour.

Rowing : Calories burned is 600 per hour.

Cross-country skiing : Calories burned at 10 mph is 600 per hour.

Weight Lifting : Calories burned is 250 per hour.

Martial Arts : Calories burned is 620 per hour.

You really won’t know what you like unless you try it. And if you haven’t tried it don’t knock it. Try mixing gardening with walking, housework with rowing, bicycling with weight lifting, dancing with martial arts, table-tennis with cross-country skiing, outdoors with indoors, team sports with solitary sports. Without variety, humans get bored and stale. They stop reaching. Boredom makes human beings quit.

Weight Loss is something that many Americans struggle with. In this article, Cliff Kuhn, M.D. will teach you why your weight loss techniques so far have been unsuccessful, and how to correctly lose weight – and keep it off!

P.T. Barnum, who dedicated his life to entertaining the masses, often relied on size-related adjectives to sell his attractions. His posters and announcements were peppered with words like mammoth, extraordinary, colossal, and gargantuan.

Unfortunately, if you’re like most of us those words might be used to describe you as well. Americans have an obsession with weight loss and with good reason; the
percentage of overweight people in the United States is doubling every ten years – from 1 in 200 in 1986, to 1 in 50 in 2000. Without some weight loss, pretty soon there won’t be enough room for us all on this continent!

We’ve identified a curious paradox: Americans are obsessed with weight loss and spend billions on it each year, yet 140 million of us are overweight or obese – and that number grows (pun intended) each year. With all that energy and money thrown at it, why can’t we experience more weight loss and why do we pack it on in the first place?

Why Do We Gain Weight…and Where is the Weight Loss We Crave?

Let’s quickly move beyond simple, though true, solutions. We intellectually “know” that there are only three things necessary for weight loss (outside of a medical condition): eating the correct foods, eating less, and getting more exercise. We “know” these things are true, yet why don’t we do them?

The answer is simple and, luckily for you, so is the solution. As you learn the following diet you will realize that with a little willingness and discipline you need never worry about weight loss again. You will come to believe, in short order, that you will have as much weight loss as you desire and you will never gain it back because you will understand how logical and powerful my diet is!

Let’s just be honest about it – we love food! Eating is an enjoyable ritual and we commonly use food to reward ourselves because it feels good to eat. Whenever we feel unfulfilled or frustrated (when we need affirmation or esteem) we are naturally drawn to fill that void with food. When we’re lacking pleasure in our lives we rely on the eating ritual to make up the difference.

And this formula works; overfilling ourselves with food does fill our emptiness. It works so well that, just like any addict, we become gluttons – regularly overstuffing ourselves and/or eating too much “comfort” food to fill our emotional void. The end result, despite our best intentions, is a constant, steady weight gain because we’re using food for a purpose it is not intended – support.

The Solution to Your Weight Loss Problems

The healthful solution I’ve created to fill your emptiness exists already inside you because you were born with it. Unlike food, this solution fills your void while also fostering lasting and sustainable health, vitality, energy, and fitness. Instead of food, what you need is the natural medicine of humor because humor and fun are the most accessible and constant sources of energy and support known.

Because it is an energy, fun is readily and abundantly in you and around you. Once you learn to find more fun in your relationships, your work, and your home life I guarantee you will quickly do away with those excess pounds – and they’ll never return. And the best news is…I will teach you exactly how to do this using my Fun Factor Diet.

My Fun Factor Diet is based upon my unique prescription, The Fun Factor, because The Fun Factor delivers you to new heights of health, wellness, and success. Years ago a terminally ill patient, Lisa, taught me about the incredibly powerful natural medicine of humor. I used Lisa’s lessons to create my Fun Commandments, eventually molding them into my unique prescription, The Fun Factor, capable of producing health, energy, and vitality that others will envy.

My Fun Factor Diet works because it is based on my Fun Commandments and, thus, enables you to unleash your powerful humor nature on every aspect of your life. As you learn to have more fun in your relationships, your work, and your home life, you will rely less and less on food to meet your emotional needs. With the Fun Factor Diet the urge to overeat melts away, along with the excess pounds because you will be using food for its natural purpose – sustenance.

And, as a bonus, since my Fun Factor Diet is based on fun, you will laugh more frequently. Laughter is an excellent form of aerobic exercise; a hearty, belly laugh produces the same physical response as thirty minutes on the Stairmaster. When you laugh it gives your heart and lungs a good work out so…you are burning additional calories just by practicing my unique diet!

The Fun Factor Diet

Step One: Go the Extra Smile

The first strategy of my Fun Factor Diet is to Always Go the Extra Smile. Smiling is a deliberate and controllable behavior that almost always calms inner stress and attracts outward fun. Smiling unleashes the natural medicine of humor anytime and anywhere because it has a profound physical and emotional impact.

The key is to increase your conscious effort to smile constantly, especially when there is nothing in particular to smile about. Before you begin an activity, you remind yourself to smile first; before each conversation, you remind yourself to smile. You’ll soon be wearing a genuine smile on your face everywhere you go because the good results you experience will create a self-fulfilling prophecy.

And here is the beautifully powerful weight loss secret behind the first Fun Factor Diet strategy: your internal physiology is fooled by your smile. Whether spontaneous or forced, your body thinks you’re having fun when you smile, whether you are or not, because smiling activates the pleasure centers of your brain. By smiling you literally become more physically relaxed and enjoy a greater sense of fulfillment and enjoyment.

The amazing benefit of this Fun Factor Diet tactic is that the lessening of your internal agitation decreases your cravings to eat when you’re not really hungry. And, as a bonus, your smile attracts more social attention – leaving you less time to stuff yourself because people are mysteriously attracted to you without quite knowing why. By Going the Extra Smile you’re well on your way to weight loss by filling your emotional void with fun rather than food!

Step Two: Be Willing to Laugh with Yourself

Step two in my Fun Factor Diet is to Be Willing to Laugh with Yourself. This is not a step of humiliation or self-denigration because those things are definitely not fun; it is a strategy of being willing to take yourself lightly. Easing your harsh expectations you impose on yourself, relaxing some of your self-administered pressure, sets the stage for astounding personal gains (or in your case personal “losses”)

At this stage of my Fun Factor Diet, you will make a deliberate effort to take yourself and your expectations less seriously. You will adopt a kindlier stance toward your fears and inconsistencies because you have been much too hard on yourself. The results will be a dramatic lightness (both figuratively and literally) of mind, body, and spirit.

Freed from the tyranny of your unrealistic expectations, you will be able to relax and have more fun. Things you have dreaded doing in the past will become enjoyable activities because you won’t have expectations of perfection. Combined with your commitment to Go the Extra Smile, you will find your use of food to calm and comfort yourself almost extinguished because taking yourself lightly helps you see yourself as, literally, less “heavy.”

Step Three: Stay Focused, yet Flexible

The third step in my Fun Factor Diet makes the most dramatic difference in your actual eating habits and provides the mechanics of your weight loss. The employment of my Fun Commandment, Stay Focused, yet Flexible, keeps you grounded in the moment, the here and now, because it challenges you to give 100% attention to what you are doing right now. Staying Focused, yet Flexible provides the dramatic weight loss breakthrough you’ve been waiting for because your entire paradigm of eating is about to change!

On the Fun Factor Diet you Stay Focused, yet Flexible by not engaging in any other activity while you are eating. Activities that have commonly accompanied your eating are to be shunned while putting food in your mouth – including reading, watching television, or socializing at get-togethers. With the exception of reasonable table conversation, eating becomes a focused activity for you, not connected with any other behavior because you are about to halt the underlying cause of your weight gain.

Once you begin disciplining yourself to separate eating from all the pleasurable and stressful activities with which you have associated it, you will discover a disturbing fact: you will be shocked by how much you’ve been using food as both a stress reliever and a pleasure enhancer. Your weight loss can be dramatic when you change your use of food from pleasure enhancement and stress relief to simple nourishment. You’re ready for this change because, with the first two steps in my diet, you’ve already begun to fill your emotional and spiritual void with fun rather than food.

This step of my Fun Factor Diet has two primary benefits: you become more acutely aware of your opportunities for fun away from food, which allows you to become even more effective at satisfying your emotional needs with fun, and by eating with full focus you increase the enjoyment and appreciation for your food, which allows you to use food as nourishment rather than pleasure. When you combine having fun apart from food with getting greater enjoyment from the food you are eating, you experience weight loss because you are no longer using it in a contrived and artificial fashion!

Step Four: Practice Wanting What You Have, Rather than Getting What You Want

The final step in my Fun Factor Diet will make your weight loss permanent because it centers you in the unique paradigm of lasting success. My Fun Commandment, Practice Wanting What You Have, Rather Then Getting What You Want, increases your awareness of gratitude because it stops the merry-go-round of always needing “more” to feel satisfied. Ongoing gratitude for what you have has the amazing benefit of making it possible to get and keep more of what you want.

We all make the mistake of taking for granted the things we truly value and focus, instead, on all the things we want that we do not yet possess. This focus makes us desperate and puts conditions on our happiness, because our success never satisfies us and we only wind up needing more. If you ever want to have more fun in your life (as you’re going to be doing on my Fun Factor Diet), you begin by counting the blessings you already have because that will make your weight loss, and other achievements, lasting and real.

Becoming adept at this portion of my Fun Factor Diet does two things: it continually reminds you of the many gifts you’ve already been given and it decreases your appetite for those things you think you want will. Realizing that you have everything you need to be happy today eases the stress of not having everything you want because all the pressure is gone – you’re already a success! The end result of this strategy is that you will not feel as empty, resulting in greater weight loss from a lowered desire to fill your void with food.

Filling yourself up with gratitude is not a platitude, so to speak, because it works in real practice. You eat in excess to fill an emotional and/or spiritual void, not because you are hungry; you eat too much to provide yourself with emotional comfort, fulfillment, and reassurance. The strategy of Practicing Wanting What you Have, Rather than Getting What you Want, actually fills this emptiness in a meaningful, lasting manner because your emotional appetite is satisfied by the things that really sustain it!

Smiling fools your body and attracts socially fun attention, Taking Yourself Lightly releases you from the tyranny of your unrealistic expectations, Staying Focused, yet Flexible teaches you to use food for nourishment rather than fun, and Wanting What you Have allows you to fill your emotional void with fun and gratitude rather than food. There you have it… weight loss from the natural medicine of humor and my Fun Factor Diet!

By the way, in one of his museums, P.T. Barnum found that he was having trouble getting the crowds to leave once they had seen all the attractions. So he devised a clever sign, elaborately lettered to draw as much attention as possible, which read “This Way to the Egress”

Most of the patrons expected to see some bizarre animal that Barnum had collected from one of the far corners of the earth when they followed the sign through the door. What they didn’t realize, however, was that “Egress” is simply another word for “Exit.” Funny…and true.

Today you begin your “egress” from excess weight and from all your worries surrounding it. Start using my Fun Factor Diet right now!

Supplement is a word defined by Webster as such: Something added to complete a thing or to make up for a deficiency. Even so; some weight loss supplement companies market their products as magic pills and some consumers think of them as such.

I believe weight loss supplements can be beneficial if we learn to look past the hype and use them in addition to improved eating habits as well as increased physical activity.

Know what you want out of your weight loss supplement:

Are you looking for decreased appetite, carb blocking ability or increased metabolism? What is the manufacturer promising? What are the active ingredients and what studies and dosages were done on them?

Look for reviews and testimonials:

This is something I almost did not want to mention because reviews and testimonials can be very conflicting. Reading weight loss supplement reviews and testimonials is going to require you to think for yourself and determine if the review or testimonial makes a valid point or not. I recently read a review for a weight loss product that said something to this effect: “I did not like this product; I continued to eat the way I always do and actually gained weight on this product.” My interpretation of this is that the person probably did not carefully monitor what they were eating. They were gaining weight before “eating what they normally eat” and were expecting this pill to magically cause them to lose weight. On the other hand, a weight loss testimonial that says “I eat anything I want and am still losing weight!” is equally suspicious to me. Weight loss product testimonials and reviews can be helpful in your decision if you weed through the hype and incomplete information. Look for clues such as: Did this product decrease the customers’ appetite? Did the customer experience more energy? Was the reviewer jittery?

Is it too good to be true?

We have a tendency to believe what we want to believe. But when it comes to weight loss supplements we have to be honest with our self. Are the claims exaggerated? Is the company telling us we do not need to change our lifestyle? Does it appear the company wants us to lead a healthy lifestyle or does the company want to sell millions of pills? Remember weight loss supplements are going to help you reach your goals, not carry you to the completion of your weight loss goals.

Best seller does not always mean the best product.

I was a distributor for a branch of a very reputable supplement company and attended a convention they sponsored. The speaker was talking about making claims when trying to sell product and how they did not want us making any claims that have not been backed by science. Someone asked the question about other companies and why they could make outlandish weight loss claims and experience such great sales while we could only state scientific fact. The speaker acknowledge the fact that these companies would sell millions of dollars worth of product but they would not earn repeat customers and more than likely would not even exist in the long run. Ask yourself if the product you are interested in is a best seller because of hype or because the company is reputable and has a quality weight loss product.

Has the company been around for a while?

While the fact that a company is new does not mean it is low quality, a company that has been around for years usually has happy customers.

Read the directions and warnings very carefully.

I knew a lady that was taking a Chitosan product and getting sick. She asked me about it and I quickly asked her if she was allergic to shellfish-She was. Fortunately for her it was only a mild allergen and she did not suffer seriously. It was clearly stated on the label; “Do not take if you are allergic to shellfish.” Also don’t have the mentality that if one pill is good then two must be better. Natural weight loss products can be very powerful and should be treated with respect.

Take a break from time to time.

Occasionally take a break from your weight loss supplement regimen especially if you are using a weight loss product that contains a stimulant such as caffeine or other powerful herbs. I even do this with my multi-vitamin. I just believe it is a good idea to give your body a break from time to time.

Conclusion:

I believe weight loss supplements can help you reach your weight loss goals, I also believe you can reach your weight loss goals without weight loss supplements, however I have always been the type of person that wanted every edge I can get. So if you are like me, and you decide to use weight loss supplements, think of your weight loss goal as a three legged table. One leg represents healthy eating, one leg represents activity, and the other leg represents your weight loss supplementation. Remove any one leg and the table will fall. Rely on only one leg and you will not reach your weight loss goal. Shop carefully, have realistic expectations, follow safety guidelines and reach your weight loss goal!

Eat right & on-time

Weight loss is a critical issue in today’s society with obesity on the rise and people finally realizing what being overweight is doing to their bodies, their health and eventually their lifestyles.

Weight loss is good for many conditions. It is of real benefit in diabetes, high blood pressure, shortness of breath, joint problems and raised cholesterol.

Weight loss is possible with exercise and healthy meals alone, but including good-quality protein and building lean muscle mass will help you lose more quickly, helping you to keep the weight off and stay healthy.

Weight loss is virtually guaranteed if one sticks to the regulations of the diet.

Weight Loss basics: eat more calories than you use & you’ll put on weight; use more than you eat and you’ll lose it. Weight Loss is now a goal which can be reached really easily if we stick to a training regime, diet plan. But for some, surgery may be the only hope.

Surgical techniques have evolved over the past few decades, and most are effective, in the sense that they do typically lead to substantial weight loss.

However, all experts do agree that the best way to maintain weight loss is to follow a healthy lifestyle. Whichever approach you prefer, the key to long-term success is a slow steady weight loss. It is proven that it is important to prepare yourself mentally for your weight loss journey and the lifestyle changes you are about to undergo.

For individuals who are morbidly obese, surgery to bypass portions of the stomach and small intestine may at times be the only effective means of producing sustained and significant weight loss.

The primary factor in achieving and maintaining weight loss is a lifelong commitment to regular exercise and sensible eating habits. You will find that all levels of your life are improved with weight loss which brings you so much personal satisfaction.

If eating habits are not completely and permanently changed, the weight loss provided by a diet is not going to last long. If you suffer from, or think you may suffer from, a medical condition you should consult your doctor before starting a weight loss and / or exercise regime.

Drinking water is one of the most rapid weight loss tips that dieticians suggest to people and leads to 100+ calories extra burned a day. Every twenty soft drinks you skip from your normal intake equates to about one pound of weight loss.

Fasting: While fasting plays a major part in some diets, it is generally not recommended for safe weight loss.

Diet

Dietitians are nutritionists who work directly with clients or patients regarding their nutritional needs. Dieting reduces your caloric intake but exercising helps you burn more calories. DIET Weight loss is vital if obesity is present. Dieting is easier than you ever imagined. On a vegetarian diet, weight loss is not supposed to be a problem.

A well balanced reduced calorie diet containing moderate fat is recommended. The inclusion of different kinds of fruits into weight-loss diets is a healthy way of dealing with starvation, as well as providing the body those nutrients and vitamins it needs to function properly.

Exercise While You Diet: Weight loss is all about reducing your caloric intake while you increase the calories you burn. First of all decide how much weight you want to lose, and set yourself a realistic target, ideally with the help of your dietitian or doctor.

A diet that works for some people does not work for others. A healthy breakfast is one of the key elements of a healthy diet and consequential weight loss. Most fad diets, if followed closely, will result in weight loss-as a result of caloric restriction.

Moreover, dieters who fail to adopt better exercise and eating habits will regain the lost weight-and possibly more. As it begins, large amounts of water will be shed, leading the dieter to think that significant weight reduction is taking place.

Consult your doctor, for any health problem and before using any supplements, making dietary changes, or before making any changes in prescribed medications.

Much of the early weight loss on a very low calorie diet represents loss of muscle tissue rather than loss of fat.

As many as 85% of dieters who do not exercise on a regular basis regain their lost weight within two years. Repeatedly losing and regaining weight (yo-yo dieting) encourages the body to store fat and may increase a patient’s risk of developing heart disease.

Eating three balanced, moderate-portion meals a day-with the main meal at mid-day-is a more effective way to prevent obesity than fasting or crash diets, which convince the body that there is an ongoing famine. Modern medicine has found ways to extend our lifespan through dietary restriction.

For the sake of your health, always consult your doctor before making any significant dietary, nutritional or lifestyle changes. The American Heart Association (AHA) generally recommends a diet with less than 30% fat.

Individual’s lifestyle, food preferences, preparation abilities, snack habits, cravings, etc, should all be considered when developing a dietary plan. It is important that the nutrition counselor tailor the diet to the individual as opposed to adopting a “one-size-fits-all” approach. After weight loss, lower-fat diets may be the best.
For most people, being overweight is a result of an insufficient amount of exercise, an inadequate lifestyle routine and a poorly balanced diet.

Most high-fiber foods are also high in water and low in calories, making them must-have diet foods. Soluble fiber can help to lower cholesterol; insoluble contains indigestible fibers that add bulk to our diets.

Some experts believe dieters have better control if they eat several mini-meals throughout the day. Exercise and a balanced diet are the key factors in fat loss and weight reduction.

Drinking water is one of the most rapid weight loss tips that dieticians suggest to people and leads to 100+ calories extra burned a day.

The ultimate tip to eventual success: regular exercise and a balanced diet. Add one cheat day to your diet to rid yourself of cravings.

Eat a healthy diet filled with lots of vegetables, fruits, and whole grain products.

Fasting: While fasting plays a major part in some diets, it is generally not recommended for safe weight loss.

Surgery

But for many in this situation, weight loss surgery is the only hope. One of the earliest forms was gastric bypass surgery. There are many forms of surgery these days and all have pros and cons.

There are still substantial risks, however, as with any major surgery. For those who believe surgery is the best option, consulting with an experienced physician is essential.

For individuals who are morbidly obese, surgery to bypass portions of the stomach and small intestine may at times be the only effective means of producing sustained and significant weight loss.

Such obesity surgery, however, can be risky, and it is performed only on patients for whom other strategies have failed and whose obesity seriously threatens health. If hiatus hernia symptoms are chronic and do not respond to diet and medication, surgery may become necessary.

Today, most surgeons elect to perform laparoscopic surgery, because it is minimally invasive and recovery time is reduced.

Burn

If you imagine yourself losing weight and burning up calories during normal daily activity, you will lose weight and body fat. It has a cellular effect on the body, causing fat cells to release their stored fat to be burned as energy. The food you eat during the day should be burned off through activity.

Exercise While You Diet: Weight loss is all about reducing your caloric intake while you increase the calories you burn. Dieting reduces your caloric intake but exercising helps you burn more calories.

We all know that to achieve a healthy weight loss we need to burn more calories than what we take in. Exercise increases the metabolic rate by creating muscle, which burns more calories than fat.

When regular exercise is combined with consistent, healthful meals, calories continue to burn at an accelerated rate for several hours. Calories burned depending on your activity level.

Not only does fat provide a sense of fullness, eating enough of a healthy fat called omega-3 fatty acids may cause your metabolism to burn fat more efficiently. If your weight remains constant, you are probably taking in the same amount of calories you burn each day.

If you’re slowly gaining weight over time, it is likely that your caloric intake is greater than the number of calories you burn through your daily activities.

The number of calories we burn each day is dependent upon our basal metabolic rate (BMR), the number of calories we burn per hour simply by being alive and maintaining body functions and our level of physical activity.

Our weight also plays a role in determining how many calories we burn at rest — more calories are required to maintain your body in its present state, the greater your body weight. Someone whose job involves heavy physical labor will naturally burn more calories in a day than someone who sits at a desk most of the day (a sedentary job).

For people who do not have jobs that require intense physical activity, exercise or increased physical activity can increase the number of calories burned.

To lose one pound, you must burn approximately 3500 calories over and above what you already burn doing daily activities. Use a calorie calculator to figure out how many calories you burn while sitting, standing, exercising, lifting weights, etc. If you’re eating fewer calories than you’re burning, you’ll lose weight.

As it is well known when the body does not get enough calories it starts to burn the fat that was deposited in the fat tissue.

Exercise will help you burn excess calories and fat, and will also help to tone and build muscle. Retaining muscle is the key to optimal fat burning metabolism.

I’ll be brutally honest, weight loss surgery is – in my opinion – one of the most pointless and ridiculous experiences that an intelligent, free-thinking human being can put themselves through. Sounds harsh, but it’s true. All surgery is dangerous and major surgery even more so. Given this, unless there is a really pressing medical reason, why would anyone voluntarily put themselves through such an ordeal?

Weight loss surgery makes plastic surgeons extremely wealthy, because it’s extremely expensive. It also completely fails to address the underlying problem of why you gained weight in the first place, which means it’s quite likely that you will put the weight back on eventually (or have to live with various devices permanently attached to your insides). And it kills! Perhaps the highest profile example of this is Mrs Donda West, the mother of Hip Hop artist Kanye West, who died in November 2007 shortly after undergoing a joint breast reduction, tummy tuck and liposuction procedure.

But despite all these obvious dangers, the obesity crisis is making more and more desperate people turn to this solution as the way to resolve their obesity issues. So if you really insist on going down this route, what are your options? Here are a few:

Weight Loss Surgery Options

1. Gastric bypass surgery: This is a type of surgery that is becoming increasingly popular and has been chosen by a number of famous people such as the golfer John Daly, veteran Hollywood actor Brian Dennehy and Sharon Osbourne. There are various types of this kind of surgery (including adjustable gastric banding and vertical banded gastroplasty), all of which involve using various techniques or devices to bypass part of the stomach or intestinal tract to reduce the amount of food that can be digested or processed at any one time.

The complications with this surgery are many and varied – gastric bands will slip in 30% of cases and vomiting is common with this procedure. A Biliopancreatic Diversion (in which part of the stomach is removed) leads to diarrhea and 10% will experience oedema, hair loss, ulcers, or protein malnutrition. Patients who successfully undergo this procedure will require lifetime nutritional supplementation to avoid malnutrition. But they are the lucky ones – about 2% of patients die during the procedure!

2. Intragastric balloon: A balloon placed in the stomach. The surgeon inflates it so that the patient constantly feels full. The balloon can only remain for 6 months during which time it could leak or burst.

3. Jaw wiring: Jaws are wired together to make eating difficult – but people find ways to get their calories in sugary, liquid form. Jaw wiring as a method of weight control has now largely gone out of fashion.

4. Liposuction: As the name suggests, this is a surgical procedure in which suction is applied to remove subcutaneous fat. The procedure is very useful for reshaping the contours of the face, hips, breasts, or tummy, but it has little or no effect on insulin sensitivity, cholesterol, blood pressure, or even weight, since the amount of fat removed is relatively small. Complications include damage to the skin or nerves and damage to vital organs.

This is just a quick snapshot of some of the obesity weight loss surgery options available. But behind the glossy marketing and inspiring “before and after” images, weight loss surgery is extremely dangerous and is often fatal. And the irony is that the fatter you are, the much higher your chances of complications during and after surgery, so you have the double whammy of higher risk people opting for higher risk procedures. CRAZY!

Want some good advice? Forget about weight loss surgery! Find out the real reason why you have gained or are putting on weight, deal with those issues, then start to lose weight properly and permanently by taking more exercise and eating sensibly. Whatever your reasons for your weight gain or obesity problems, weight loss surgery may be one answer, but it really isn’t the RIGHT answer.
