Start with high protein filling breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and thus should not be skipped for anything. For lunch – salmon or tuna fish will do. Lean meat can be used in place of beef for effective results. For dinner – medium sized potion of fish, chicken or turkey with Green vegetables are good sources of vitamin A and C. They are very filling, high in fiber and low in calories. Avoid eating high carbohydrate meals at night before you go to bed because they normally take a while before they fully digest in your system.

If you feel hunger pangs during your 3 main meals, snack on apples, grapes or carrots. Avoid alcohol and sugared fizzy drinks at all cost. Drink plenty of water and in place of your normal tea, try taking herbal and slimming teas. To be on a safer side, it is advisable to stop using vegetable oil as it contains a lot of fat. Olive oil is healthier and more effective if you are really serious about getting those extra pounds off you.

Do not forget to eat each meal in small portions. The fact that you are now to eat foods with lower percentages of calories, carbohydrates and fat does not mean you should over eat. If you are able to follow this diet strictly, you will be amazed at how fast you will loose that 20 pounds you want to loose safely.
